Africa-led research capacity strengthening initiatives

PARC seeks to foster mutual capacity strengthening on the theory and practice of transformative research collaborations among the upcoming generations of scholars and science leaders.

To do so, PARC delivers and curates bespoke exchange and learning schemes focusing on Africa-led research capacity strengthening initiatives.

PARC is working with the Partnership for Skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund (PASET-RSIF) initiative on developing a ‘sandwich’ PhD guest student scheme, specifically in the areas of climate change, Big Data and agribusiness, and on engaging sandwich cohorts together with UoB peers on the challenge of transforming global North-Africa research relations.
